Who We Are
We are a church located in Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church is situated on the Duncastle Road in the village of Newbuildings some 2 miles from Derry in Northern Ireland. It was officially opened in 1985 under the ministry of Pastor Robert Maxwell. Pastor Maxwell began his evangelistic work in January 1979. He continued to minister to the congregation until 1988 when he accepted a call from Dungannon Independent Methodist Church. Pastor Eric Moore was then installed in Newbuildings. His ministry spanned 15 years until, in 2003, he was invited to take up the pastorate in Bangor Independent Methodist Church. There followed a period of vacancy until 2008 when Jonathan Campbell left Ballysillan Independent Methodist Church to become the congregation's third minister.
Pastor Jonathan Campbell
Rev. Campbell is the minister of Newbuildings Independent Methodist (Northern Ireland). A graduate of Queen's University (NI) and Bethel Bible College (NI), he has been involved in the work of God since 1997. His first position was as assistant pastor to Rev William Park in Enniskillen Independent Methodist (NI). In 2001 he took up the pastorate in Ballysillan Independent Methodist (NI) where he ministered until 2008 when he accepted the call of the Newbuildings congregation.
