About

Who We Are

We are a church located in London, England.

The Metropolitan Tabernacle was founded in 1650, having among its history of pastors Dr John Gill (51 years), Dr John Rippon (63 years), and most notably Charles Haddon Spurgeon (38 years). Dr Peter Masters became Pastor in 1970 and has held this office for more than fifty years.

Today it is a large multi-ethnic congregation with Britain's largest
children's Sunday School (on five sites).

The Tabernacle stands today in its Spurgeonic tradition, upholding reverent worship, fervent evangelism, and the doctrines of grace.
