Who We Are
We are a church located in Bremerton, Washington.
IBD is a Christian apologetics ministry dedicated to helping train Christians to boldly defend the faith. To this end, the Institute offers many opportunities in Christian education for ministers and lay people alike to gain a deeper knowledge and greater foundation in the tenets of the Christian faith and in how to defend the faith from conflicting world views. The Institute provides training in theology, philosophy, Christian apologetics, world religions, counter cult studies and much more. IBD is a ministry of Trinity Bible Fellowship where Dr. Fernandes serves as Senior Pastor.
Dr. Phil Fernandes
Phil Fernandes is the Senior Pastor of Trinity Bible Fellowship and the founder and president of the Institute of Biblical Defense, an apologetics ministry which trains Christians in the defense of the faith. Dr. Fernandes has earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion from Greenwich University, a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Theology from Columbia Evangelical Seminary. He has lectured and debated in defense of the Christian Faith on college campuses and in public schools. Dr. Fernandes currently teaches philosophy and apologetics for Cascade Bible College (Bellevue, WA) and Bible and Christian World View for King's West High School (Bremerton, WA). He is a member of the following professional societies: The Evangelical Theological Society, The Evangelical Philosophical Society and The Society of Christian Philosophers.
