Who We Are
We are a church located in Plymouth, Minnesota.
"Famous for the Gospel" since 1881, Fourth Baptist Church is committed to being a place where broken, struggling people can become spiritually well and whole. Our heart is to be a therapeutic community, immersed in grace and grounded in truth because that is the only kind of therapy that works. For us this means modeling Christ and communicating Scripture, because Christ was "full of grace and truth" (John 1:14) and Scripture is "the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15) and "the word of His grace" (Acts 20:32).
Pastor Matt Morrell
Matt is the Senior Pastor of Fourth Baptist Church of Plymouth, Minnesota, where he succeeded Dr. Douglas McLachlan. Matt graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College in 1998, earned his Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Minneapolis in 2002, and completed his Doctor of Ministry degree from Northland International University in 2010. Before coming to Fourth Baptist in 2008, Matt served as an assistant, Interim, and then Senior Pastor at Chisago Lakes Baptist Church in Chisago City, Minnesota.
