Who We Are
We are a church located in Pontypridd, Wales, UK.
Bethany Baptist Church was established in 1900 as a direct result of the growing need for places to worship during the Welsh Revival of the late 1800’s. As a church it has always had for it’s foundation the sufficiency of the Scripture, maintaining an emphasis on Christ as Saviour.
The people of Bethany Baptist Church are an age integrated group ranging from from young families to senior saints. We are a church family redeemed by Christ, nourished by the Word of God, with a heart to evangelise the world in which we live.

Darren Rogers
Darren is Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Pwllgwaun, Pontypridd, South Wales. Previously an aircraft engineer, Darren surrendered to God’s call to preach in 2003 and has been Pastoring Bethany for the past 10 years. Darren is married to Joanna who serves the Lord faithfully alongside him. They have 2 teenage daughters. The current statistic is that 1 church closes each week in Wales. How sad a fact this is in a land once famous for great revivals. Darren has a heart for Wales as it is his home country, and one of many in dire need of the Gospel.
