A Study of Ephesians
Series
Ephesus, along with the rest of Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) was almost entirely given to idolatry. Located in Ephesus was one of the seven wonders of the world, the temple of Diana (pictured). We read in Acts 19 about a riot started by a leader of the silversmith trade against Paul and his companions. Because so many were turning away from idolatry, the silversmiths felt that their lucrative business was being threatened. Filled with the devil, they attacked Paul and his companions (Acts 6:12).
