Luke 7:11-17
Introduction
…it is appointed for man to die once, and then comes judgement. (Heb. 9:27)
The devil came “…to steal and kill and destroy.” (Jn. 10:10)
…just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so death spread to all men… (Rom. 5:14)
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. (1 Jn. 3:8)
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (Jn. 10:10)
I. Jesus Responds with Compassion
He will wipe away every tear from [our] eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore… (Rev. 21:4)
