The Book of Acts was written by Luke as also was the Gospel of Luke.
Luke was a Doctor and a fellow laborer with the Apostle Paul. Paul calls Luke the beloved Physician in Col 4:14.
Luke indicates in Acts 28.16 that he was one who travelled with the Apostle Paul to Rome.
Now Luke wrote the Book of Luke and the Book of Acts for a man that he was instructing in the faith called Theophilus.
Theophilus was fortunate enough that Luke, took time to write to him to explain to Him about the life of Christ in the gospel that he wrote, (Gospel of Luke), and also he described the work of the Holy Spirit in and through the early Church in the Book of Acts.
The writing of the Book of Luke and the Book of Acts shows the investment of time Luke was willing to make into the life of one man called Theophilus.
Ask God to give you a Theophilus!
Pray, Lord give me a Theophilus that I can share the Good News of Jesus to!
You never know what impact a person may make in the world if you take them aside and take time to tell them about Jesus and His work on earth.
Never underestimate what God can do when you write about Jesus Christ to someone.
Never underestimate what God can do when you write down the wonderful things that God has done.
Luke's writings are still bringing people to Jesus and they are still showing people how God worked in the Life of the Early Church.
Publish what God has done in your life. Tell somebody, something, about the someone that has made a difference in you life…Jesus Christ!
