Our apostle Paul, in his first and second letters to the church of the Thessalonians, has a lot to say about the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church, but it can get confusing because he also swirls in and out of the day of the Lord and the time of Jacob's trouble at the same time. When we apply the 'key' of rightly dividing from 2 Timothy 2:15 in our King James Bibles, everything falls nicely into its proper place, and we have harmony everywhere we look.
"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?" 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5 (KJB)
On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we find ourselves coming face to face with the day of Christ, and it has an arc that that flies right over the top of the start of the time of Jacob's trouble, as the Pretribulation Rapture brings Church Age believers up into the clouds to meet Jesus in the air! From there, we, the born again Church have an unbreakable appointment at the Judgement Seat of Christ that leads us to the Marriage of the Lamb as the Bride. That's the day of Christ, all of that, but there's more. So much more.
