The Pope's recent nonsense about universal redemption and the failure of Christ's work at Calvary to save anybody was a blasphemy against the power of Jesus' Blood and Righteousness received by sinners by faith. Christ has taken away the curse of the law for His people, and there is no punishment for disobedience hanging over us anymore.
But the Pope's blasphemy also insults God the Father, Who provided the redemption in Christ for us. According to the Pope, God's sons are still under wrath, making the Redemption He provided by Christ to be worthless.
God the Father loves His sons, and He has provided a good gift to us in Jesus Christ. We are safe in Jesus' arms who have trusted in Jesus. The Father is pleased at His Son's Redemption of all His other adopted sons.
This papal false doctrine merely underlines the fact that the Roman Catholics have no true salvation, for they are always still under the curse of the law. According to them, Christians are always subject to wrath, and according to them, God does impute sin to His people who have trusted in Jesus!
Their whole system is one of temporary forgiveness and temporary salvation, always subject to being lost at the first slip-up.
This reminds us of Hebrew's description of the Old Testament sacrifices that could never take away sin, and that aways had to be repeated by their mortal priests. Like Aaron's animal sacrifices, the papal mass and rituals are always a reminder of sin that is not atoned for, and righteousness that is not imputed.
But Christ DID redeem us from the curse of the law! All the punishment was placed on Him.
Most blessed, though, is that He wrought ETERNAL Redemption for us!
