We start with what our pastor is seeing with the Russian invasion. Some insights and history as well as how it relates to scripture, specifically Ezekiel 38. And there's China too, and Iran.
Last week we started, sort of, a discussion of the two birds in Genesis 15. But to get there you have to get through the myriad of mysteries that lead up to it and contribute to it. Because, this is not just Genesis 15, it's everywhere. But it's not "Bring me" as all other versions render it, it's "Take Me" with a comma after, because all these animals are types of Christ's sacrifice. It's the mystery of Godliness... and how do you solve that in one lifetime? The two birds are just a sub-mystery of the Take Me.
But we now go to a very outstanding message from Gabriel (no, not the Angel), asking about the geometry of the New Jerusalem. This is really great stuff! And the discussion that follows is mind blowing (okay... for Supper Dave that was a small explosion). But it's elementary math, Euclidean Geometry, so please try not to get too board as you listen. But... It's Math! So, about two of you will be excited.
And now, back to the Take Me in Genesis 15. Everything that happens is a picture of Christ. What about the vultures? But we're talking about the two birds. What did Abram see that taught him that he has everlasting life? Commentators will say that God is copying a pagan ritual. Are they right? No! God's thoughts are not your thoughts! Where do they get this? Well, the pastor has fun with it, but he also explains why they're wrong. Infinity passed through the animals. John 5:22... and the scriptures start flying!
So, come on in... It'll be fun!?
