The skeptics have no arguments to offer except for ones that have been thoroughly discredited and debunked. Each alternative offered brings up far more problems than it solves for those who do not believe in the supernatural power of God to raise a person from the dead.
Today we look at the main three fictions and compare them to the record.
Then, we look briefly at the question of substitution. Did Jesus really die as our substitute before the Father's righteous wrath against our sin? If He did not die as our substitute, then God is not just. He cannot be righteous and allow sin to go unpunished.
Thankfully, Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin. Out sin. God's wrath was poured out on Him instead of upon those who believe in His name. Thus, since our sin was punished, God is free to pour out His grace upon all who believe and to clothe them in the perfect righteousness of Jesus. Praise the Lord! His mercy is more! Our sins they are many, but His mercy is more.
