SERMON INFO
Moses wrote that the Lord would raise up a prophet to be the King of His people. The miracle of the feeding of the five thousand men showed that Christ was the one of whom Moses spoke. However, the multitude desire to make Jesus a temporal king revealed their lack of understanding of the Lord's kingdom and His reign.

The multitudes followed Jesus because of the signs He was doing. Despite their worldly desire for signs and lack of understanding, Christ continued to heal the sick among them and preach to them the kingdom of God. The people of Christ are needy and only He is sufficient to meet their needs, but Christ does not provide for them based upon their merit nor is He stingy in His provision. The Lord not only provides bread for the body but also for the soul.
