The world we live in is a corrupt, putrifying sespool in the power of the evil one. But thankfully, Jesus is saving people out of this wicked world and making them new creations. But if He's saved you out of the world, He now expects you to be like salt and make an impact on the world around you. Too many professing Christians go either to the extreme of thinking they need to become like the world, or the extreme of isolating themselves from the world. But if we are to be salt, we must both be different from the world, and yet still make contact with the world.

The church as salt and light Salt is all about righteousness. It's about doing only what pleases God, not man. To be His only. Otherwise people fall for the flattery and influencing contributions of politicians and celebrities. If the church loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? God will do the influencing.

Great Sermon! Loved your sermon! I am one that does not go to church much because it’s all about politics, Donald Trump and alternative Covid treatments. Roman’s 13 is foreign to most of them. I don’t know how we became this way.
I served faithfully there for over 20 years, until someone was offended by something and I was asked to serve no more. Sermon Audio in many respects is where I get my spiritual meals!
I am so discouraged and untrusting if the evangelical church in America it makes me sick to be involved. We are more interested in the Minnesota Vikings or whatever whim is in the news, and our acts of service in the community, that we just are not the salt of the world.
I cannot do this by myself. But I also cannot succeed among these people.
